Highlights from the LEA Global European Conference, Rome Italy April 27 - 29.
The event opened on Thursday with an Economic Update from Wolfgang Munchau before the evening reception. An economist provided a perspective on the future, Wolfgang Munchau from Eurointelligence, which we may not want to hear but need to understand. It was a fitting start.
On Friday, we broke a LEA record by welcoming 5 new members; Global Tax Advise S.R.L.(Romania), CONVISA AG (Switzerland), MAG A.M. Consultores (Spain), Metis Hellas (Greece), WPARTNERS S.R.L. (Italy). We also had the distinction of seeing the conversion of Misters Audytors (Poland) enter the conference as a prospective member firm and ending as the most recent Board approved member!
Mindshop provided insights on consulting and advisory trends and best practices. This session included a review of the LEA Global Consulting Marketplace, which is a key strategy and infrastructure project to help create more member value. Afterward, attendees chose between breakout sessions on Strategic Growth and Leveraging AI. Friday ended with discussions by the Managing Partner, Human Resources, Information Technology & Innovation, Audit, and International Tax Collaboration Groups.
Incredible views of downtown Rome from rooftop receptions and dinners surrounded the venue. At the Friday dinner, attendees enjoyed a concert of three tenors singing spectacular Italian classics, such as Volare. Well done!
On Saturday, we heard from a Young Professional panel who offered insights into how they think and what they value. While perspectives may differ from other generations, they do seek inclusion and engagement in a vibrant community that cares. Then VAT and Global Mobility Collaboration Groups met in insightful breakout discussions.
The conference ended with a session on Understanding Generation Z, the most recent entrant into the multi-generational workforce that our member firms are employing today. The nuances of this generation are many, the need to customize approaches is a key to helping them feel as though they are part of something bigger than themselves.
The LEA Global conferences are wonderful celebrations of the human spirit and art of possibility made possible by dynamic, engaged members! We encourage you to consider attending our next Europe Regional Conference, which is scheduled for April 18-20, 2024, in Prague, Czech Republic.
Finally, we want to give a special thanks to LDP and VASAPOLLI & ASSOCIATI for hosting and for the hospitality they showed to everyone who attended.
Thank you for your partnership in the LEA Global community!
