As the entire Eastern European region and Central Asia are gaining economic drive, SCHNEIDER GROUP, would like to address and point out 3 major topics.
Soon SCHNEIDER GROUP will be opening offices in Uzbekistan (August, Tashkent) and Armenia (Q4, Yerevan).
Uzbekistan recently woke up from 20 years of deep sleep and already implemented some major economic reforms (the local currency is now tradable and currency control was largely liberalized). The Ministry of Finance is currently working on a completely renewed tax legislation. The country is rich in cotton, and is now developing itself from being a mere exporter of raw material to building up a textile manufacturing industry – it has already made good progress. Pharma, agriculture and automotive are other growing industry sectors. Not to forget, Uzbekistan has 30 million consumers.

Armenia, although a small country, is a full member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and simultaneously managed to conclude a trade agreement with the EU (CEPA). Now, Armenia is not only an interesting interface between the two Unions, but – while a global discussion on sanctions is under way – grants interesting perspectives as a neighbor to Iran, considering the trade agreement of the EEU with Iran.
