LBMC’s business growth leads to securing national healthcare information security expert and partnerships for LBMC healthcare audit and advisory professionals
Nashville, Tenn - LBMC, one of the Southeast’s largest accounting and business consulting firms and a top 50 firm in the nation, today announced executive leadership appointments to help accommodate company growth in the areas dedicated to serving a variety of healthcare client needs. The company, which recently surpassed 600 total employees, has named three professionals as new leaders: LBMC healthcare specialists Courtney Bach and Meredith Douglas as Audit and Advisory Division Shareholders and the addition of former KPMG’s healthcare information security expert, Mark Johnson CISSP, to lead the LBMC Healthcare Cyber Security Division.

Courtney Bach, Shareholder

Bach has more than 10 years of professional experience in healthcare audit and advisory services. Over the past 10 years, Bach has directed audit, consulting and due diligence healthcare engagements for hospitals, behavioral health providers, continuing care retirement communities, independent and assisting living facilities, nursing homes and hospice care organizations.
Bach serves as a speaker for numerous organizations covering accounting and auditing issues and has authored several articles related to issues impacting healthcare entities and the broader profession.
Bach began her career with LBMC healthcare division and has been instrumental in the growth of this division including the recruiting, hiring and training of staff. Bach serves as Treasurer for McNeilly Center for Children and volunteers with the Junior League. She is also an active member of the Nashville Healthcare Council, Leadership Health Care and serves on two TSCPA committees.
Meredith Douglas, Shareholder

Douglas began her career with LBMC and has over 13 years of professional experience in healthcare audit and advisory services. She manages and oversees teams on audit, review and consulting engagements for all types of healthcare organizations. Douglas works with a number of hospitals, both for-profit and not-for-profit, behavioral health and long-term care providers, healthcare technology companies, ambulatory surgery centers and independent physician associations, providing these organizations annual attest services, as well as advising and consulting on complex financial accounting and reporting matters.
Douglas is a licensed CPA in both the state of Tennessee and Florida and has extensive experience with Florida state AHCA reporting requirements. She is a published author and has served as a speaker on the financial accounting requirements that healthcare organizations typically face. She was named a Nashville Business Journal 40 under 40 honoree, an elite group of Nashville leaders recognized for making their mark with business acumen and community commitment, and is actively involved in Leadership Health Care and the Nashville Health Care Council. She was appointed to the 2018-2019 TSCPA Audit Committee and serves on the TSCPA Health Care Conference Task Force.
Mark Johnson, Shareholder

Johnson has over 26 years of information security experience providing solutions to commercial companies, non-profit organizations and various United States Federal Government agencies, including the design, development, implementation, and administration of information security strategic programs. He is a nationally recognized leader in information security and comes to LBMC from KPMG where he led the national healthcare industry cyber security services.
Johnson joins the nationally acclaimed LBMC Healthcare Information Security division where he will lead the growing healthcare security client needs as they build and maintain security programs that reduce risk, mitigate threats and maintain compliance.
He previously served as President/CEO of Catalina Security Consulting, Chief Information Security Officer of Vanderbilt University and Medical Center, Chief Security Officer of London Bridge Group and Manager at Deloitte.
Johnson has served on several information security leadership boards and is a published author and nationally recognized speaker on healthcare information security regulatory and compliance topics. Mark served his country as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy and received the designation of Naval Flight Officer. At his last command, he served as the Command’s Information Security Officer.
