Nashville, TN - LBMC, one of the Southeast's largest accounting and business consulting firms proudly announces the naming of Christopher M. Lovin, CPA/ABV/CFF, CFE, as Partner-in-Charge of LBMC's Valuation, Litigation and Business Transition Services Division.

Lovin, a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner, has over seventeen years of experience in commercial litigation and valuation matters involving a variety of industries. Lovin has been qualified as an expert witness on numerous occasions and his experience includes being engaged in complex business litigation cases. Lovin is also an ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation) and CFF (Certified in Financial Forensics), designations awarded by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

"I was very fortunate to persuade Chris to join me in our litigation/valuation department some 17 years ago," says David Wood the retiring Partner-in-Charge.  "He has earned the right to lead this growing practice area with his professional approach, leadership and experience.  He is well regarded by the attorneys and clients with whom he has worked for his determination to provide the highest quality service.  He will continue to build on the foundation that has been established."

Lovin's professional leadership also includes course training and mentoring to internal and external professionals. He also gives back to his profession utilizing his expertise in this arena teaching courses related to fraud investigation and valuation for financial reporting purposes. Lovin is Chairman of the Tennessee State Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) Forensic and Valuation Services Task Force along with being involved in the Leading Edge Alliance (LEA) Business Valuation Special Interest Group. He is also a member of the  American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.  In his free time, he is active as a youth baseball and basketball coach.

Chris is a graduate of The University of Tennessee where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in accounting and business administration in 1994. He also earned his Master of Accountancy degree from The University of Tennessee in 1995.

 A native of Morristown, Tennessee, Chris resides in Mt. Juliet with his wife and son.
